The bike tour in Rio and the day in Paraty were the best led tours. The hotels in Arraial de Cabo and Paraty were the best hotels. The Iguazu falls were spectacular as was the natural sights in Rio. The Amazon was so peaceful and beautiful. The wedding site at Arraial de Cabo was also pretty and fun. Paraty we enjoyed and could have spent more time there.
The best parts:
We had a very enjoyable holiday in Brazil. All went smoothly except for a couple of hiccups early on. Hotels were good, transport on time, and the guides were good. Emergency line was very helpful.
The worst parts:
Nothing really. Checking in on line in advance of air flights was not always easy - for one set of flights it took 3 hours due to the fact that we needed to use the Portuguese language website.

We absolutely loved the Amazon area. The accommodations in the rainforest made it even better (Mirante de Gaviao). Our bilingual guide (Nigel) was excellent! Fernando de Noronha was also so beautiful! And again, loved everything about our accommodations there (Beco do Noronha).
The best parts:
Everything ran like clockwork! We loved everything about the trip. All the recommendations for activities, accommodations, drivers, guides etc. were great.

We started off in Rio, which was really beautiful. The activities were nice (tour of the city, express Tijuca Forrest hike), but I think we would've like to stay a little bit longer there. We then went to Foz do Iguaçu, which was amazing. The city doesn't have much to do but the falls were one of our best parts of the trip. Then, we went to Curitiba, which is a beautiful city! Unfortunately, it was raining hard during our whole stay, so we didn't get to do much. After that was Paraty, which was amazing! Very beautiful city and pousada. The kayak trip was really good, and the city tour as well. Our Mamangua hike was cancelled due to the weather, and the agency replaced it with another tour, that was okay but not our favourite. We asked for a refund and your agency responded quickly and very well (thanks again). Then we went to Ilha Grande, which was really heaven on earth! Unfortunately, it rained almost every day, but we did do the paradise islands tour, which was amazing! In general our trip was very well organized and everything went as expected!
The best parts:
Paraty and Ilha Grande were the best parts of our trip. The scenery is amazing, the activities are nice and there are a lot of nature to be seen!
The worst parts:
Curitiba. The city wasn't that bad, but we were off-season, so most of the tourist attractions were closed or renovating. It was also raining and it was cold, so that didn't help. The hotel was very well located, but the amenities (power suply, wifi, etc.) weren't great.

Mentioned all of this above. I thought you did an excellent job. The Samba night and the dance instructor who took us to Lapa was a great memory.
The best parts:
Loved Rio. Great location on Ipanema beach and we had great weather. Rio may be the most beautiful city in the world from the air. I did the helicopter ride. See below. The guides in all 3 locations were great.
The worst parts:
Salvador was a little disappointing. Seemed a little touristy. The weather was poor, but can't blame you for that. I thought the night we saw the local dancers was awkward. The dancers were great. But having the guide take us there and then join us for dinner was unnecessary and weird.

All the place we went were full of beauty and enjoyment. We had a variety of different activities that made the trip better. Iguaçu Falls, Pantanal, Rio de Janeiro and Paraty are all must sees! I would highly recommend Evaneos to anyone planning a trip to Brazil. We will definitely use this company again!
The best parts:
This was one four best trips! Everything was perfect! The tours, guides, hotels, etc. were great! The travel agent that planned our trip was excellent! She made great recommendations and answered all of our questions.
The worst parts:
We liked everything!

We had had enjoyable holidays in other South American countries and thought we should try Brazil. We were not disappointed as it is a fantastic country with friendly people. The local agent provided excellent service and we were very happy with our holiday in spite of the long internal transfers. Spectacular sites from Rio to Iguaçu . Great bird watching and wildlife. Good food.
The best parts:
We were not disappointed in any of the hotels or activities in our tour of Brazil. In 19 days we saw Rio, the Amazon, Iguaçu, the Pantanal, Paraty and Isla Grande. Hotels , guides and transfers all good. An amazing journey across a huge country.
The worst parts:
Brazil is a large country and to see what we wanted involved some long internal flights. You have to accept that but one transfer went wrong and we spent a day stuck in Iguaçu airport and lost a day of our stay in the Pantanal. Bad storms caused the disruption so the delay to our morning flight meant we missed transfer in Sao Paolo for the onward flight to Campo Grande. The airline rescheduled onto a flight in the late afternoon to get to Campo Grande by another route and then cancelled that flight as incoming flight diverted by another storm. They then arranged for an even later flight to take us to Sao Paolo where they provided an overnight hotel and we got a morning flight to Campe Grande.. Just bad luck but the worst part of the holiday.

Every aspect was brilliant. The contrasts so big that a comparison is not possible. We regret that we could not stay longer. Salvador,Iguacu, Rio of course. Vanessa suggested as addition Inhotim, very interesting, the list is long
The best parts:
excellent organisation - we were very pleased to be met everywhere on time. We had quite a complex itinerary, with buses, car rental, plane tickets, guided tours. The tour guides were without exception knowledgeable, very helpful and always available for us. Could not have been better. The hotels were well chosen, good location and quality. Overall the price/quality was excellent. The night out until the early hours in Rio with Samba class etc wonderful. We would like to thank Vanessa for making this trip such a success.
The worst parts:
There were no bad experiences but we have some constructive comments. What we would do next time - we would avoid Sao Paulo Airport as changeover. But this was our choice because of some dates/commitments. The breakfasts in some hotels had very limited and mainly sweet cereals. That seems to be a bit of a tradition in Brasil. The room in the hotel in Iguacu was a good size, but the big cupboard had no shelves which was irritating, because we had to repack and could not put things onto shelves, but had clothes on the desk and bed. Could be easily rectified at low cost.

Brazil is an amazing country......we loved all the places we visited and the local people and would recommend it as a destination to others....we could not recomend the local tour operators, which is sad as we have always had such great experiences with Evaneous before and have recommended them to many friends
The best parts:
Our destinations...Rio, Iguazu, Pantanal and Chapada diamantina
The worst parts:
The internal journeys...these were longer and more complex than they needed to be with multiple internal flights via Sau Paulo rather than direct flights......we could see via the departures board that direct flights were available and yet these had never been offered to us...Even if they had cost more we might have paid the difference to have more holiday and less travel. Our experience was made worse by being turned away on the one day we had a direct flight booked ...despite arriving 2 hours early. We were told that this ‘ often happens’ and yet we had not been advised of a need to confirm internal flights the previous day. This was compounded by the failure of the local emergency support number on this and several other days in the holiday. Additionally we had local guides turn up who weren’t sure what we were booked for and whether our trips had been paid for in advance. This left us feeling increasingly anxious and concerned about each journey. It would also have been helpful to know in advance which days had included lunches and which days we needed swimwear for etc.....there was little helpful information upfront and then the guides appeared surprised when we had already arranged our own lunches or failed to pack swimwear!

I really enjoyed leaving the horrendous accommodation in Praia do Forte
The best parts:
The tour of Rio with excellent guide Sergio was a definite highlight. The falls at Iguazu also a lifetime memory and the walk in the Amazon jungle with Ralf amazing
The worst parts:
1. Behing asked to pay for our room in Rio which we had already paid to Evaneous - had to call the emergency number to have this rectified 2. Paying room for one day at Manaus when we were there for 6 hours - not best planning on your part 3. Arriving in Praia do Forte to be told that the hotel we had booked was closed for the month of May - excellent planning on your part - eventually put into a filthy room with threadbare towels - they were the ones with out the holes!! Bathroom ceiling has paint falling off etc etc and was told that this was the best accommodation- I wanted to leave immediately - why you think that you can put people into that type of accommodation- HAVING PAID €7658 for the privilege

Hi George, I am glad to have been able to discuss this with you afterwards and to go through everything that went wrong. As this was your second trip with us and the first one had been flawless, we were so sorry to hear of your experience this time around. Our partner did try her best to make this right as best as she could with the extra morning tour, and the complimentary dinner. But we completely understand that it is never going to fully compensate for a bad experience. I hope that you enjoyed a lovely evening with the champagne and chocolates from Evaneos. We are so happy that you have also mentioned that you would like to give us another chance as we are ready to go out of our way to make your next trip extra special! Kind regards, Rachel

The local tour agent Vanessa did a good job and provided a lot of useful information before and during my trip.
The best parts:
Everything was well prepared and prearranged.
The worst parts:
At the end of the Iguazu Falls tour, we have to stop at duty free shop for an hour. And thr tour guide over charged us for the optional tours.

We got a true picture of Brazil and its people. Loved the Amazon. The staff were amazing. Rio was a fabulous city and our guide Sonia was the best we ever had. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Paraty was a laid back place that we thoroughly enjoyed especially the boat trip. The Pousada was a hidden gem. Could keep on and on ..... We were impressed with Evaneos travel and would certainly recommend them.
The best parts:
Pretty much everything to be honest. The jungle, Rio and all its sights. Paraty a little gem of a place.
The worst parts:
The only negative thing is the hotel in Manaus had very bad windows. Think they were single glazing so very noisy.

I would not recommend Air France to anyone even though there is a price advantage. The service is absolutely lousy and the flight attendants are extremely impolite. On reaching Sao Paulo we were, although we had booked for private transport, picked up by my partner's brother. She is of Brazilian stock. Hotel was excellent but we did not see much of Sao Paulo because we met family only. Iguazu was absolutely wonderful and the falls are really something. Manaus was good and our sojourn at the camp in the Amazon region was lovely. By the way in Manaus we had lunch at a very dodgy looking small restaurant but I have never had such excellent fish as I had there. 10 out of 10 for this restaurant. Rio was lovely and the tour guide Alain was extremely helpful and here too we were taken to the places Mariza, my partner, wanted to go to. Shopping was top on her list and Alain satisfied her wishes, Buzios is a charming place and I am actually thinking of relocating to Buzios. Will be going to Buzios again on Saturday December 3rd and back on 19th and this time on BA (best always) or BA (bloody awful) I choose the former. I wonder whether you could help when I think of relocating.????
The best parts:
Thoroughly enjoyable apart from two or three glitches. 01. We arrived in Manaus at past midnight and there was no one to pick us up and take us to the hotel. We ultimately took a taxi but were refunded by the travel agent for the taxi. Hassle! 02. Although I had requested 5 star hotels throughout my trip in Buzios we were put in a very basic hotel and had to relocate to a better hotel. The agent has now paid R$ 2'000.00 as a compensation which of course does not cover the cost of the hotel where I relocated to. 03. I had booked my flights on business class and the service GOL is nothing to talk about. I understand that there is not business class on GOL but the first few seats are priority seats and no such seats were allocated to us. having said this I would say that our trip to Brazil was really good and comfortable.
The worst parts:
- GOL tickets business should be priority - Cars should be at airport on arrival. - If 5 star hotels are requested the complete trip should be in 5 star.
