Al Ain is a province close to the border with Oman, which offers numerous activities.
The entire city has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I found numerous forts to visit there, as well as museums on the archaeology of the city. In order to tower above the city, climb (on foot or by car) Jebel Hafeet Mountain: you'll have a magnificent view over the city from the highest mountain in the Emirate ofAbu Dhabi (1,240 m!).
For an unusual outing one weekend, I went to the Al Maqam track. There, you can watch a camel race (free of charge). You can see that there are small robots (which look like children) riding the camels. In effect, these dangerous races were previously done by children, (lighter than adults), and they have now been replaced by dolls with motorised arms.
