We wanted to have customized trip to Ecuador (Quito + The Galapagos Islands). Emma from *********************** organized it for us very well. She supported us during our trip as well. We always have been in touch.
The best parts:
All our tours were well organized. We had multi-destination tour. In the beginning we explored Quito. We visited some museums and historical places. Next day we had an excursion to National Park Cotopaxi with amazing views of volcano. 10 days we spent in the Galapagos Islands. We started from Santa Cruz, then Isabela and finally - San Cristobal. Every day we had different awesome activities. We saw many birds, penguins, sea turtles, sea horses, sea lions, sharks, many different kind of fishes and of course giant tortoises. Very nice landscapes, especially in Bartolome Island.

I have always been fascinated with the Galapagos, so when my husband explained he would not be able to travel with me for his business reasons, I decided on this trip. I did not researched Evaneos at all, but I am very happy with this choice. Emma, my agent, has been very responsive to every question I had. She planned a beautiful trip for me because it was extremely well-planned and organized. The staff at the hotels were so very nice.
The best parts:
The Galapagos themselves are indescribably fascinating and beautiful. Things I liked most: 1. Extremely-well organized trip. I got to see very much both in and out of the water. There was an appropriate amount of downtime after each outing. 2. The information pages provided to me upon my arrival gave suggestions of things to do on my free time. At San Cristobal Island, I visited every site suggested. 2. Hotels were not luxurious but they were clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. 3. I really enjoyed and appreciated the tour of Guayaquil at the end of my trip, instead of waiting around at the Guayaquil airport.
The worst parts:
1. I found the ocean water cold. Next time I would rent a full-size wetsuit. (this was just me. Other people who snorkeled found the water temp perfect. 2. I would have prefered less time alone, and more time with groups, or with the same group.

Relied on Sofia to pick destinations, as we had never been to S.A. Machu Picchu, the Guest House and the guide were excellent. The Catamaran, crew and guide in Galápagos also first class. Same for Quito, especially Cuba Guest House and guide, Freddy. Apart from the overnight bus ride, my venture into the Amazon was enjoyable and educational, in small group of 8, with Ebi, the most experienced guide there.
The best parts:
Everything was well organized and stress free. Accommodations were just as requested - small, local establishments. Guides were all knowledgeable, and with good English. Sofia's planning, from our NYEve arrival in Peru to my departure, was first class. Thank you.
The worst parts:
The long, overnight bus ride, which was actually 2 separate buses, with long wait in between transfers. I was dreading the return trip, but it went much faster, on better buses, with hardly any waiting around during transfers. Not being able to get any of the ATM machines in Galápagos or Quito to give us cash. Got sols from machine in Cusco, which we spent while in Peru. We landed in Galápagos with $300 cash, assuming we could pay their entry costs using Visa. Instead had to use $280 cash. Even though guides in Galápagos and Quito took us to many machines we were unable to get more cash.

Thank you for your review Joy. It was a pleasure designing this trip for you and Jenny, and I am super happy that you felt everything was well organized and stress free; I love to make people feel comfortable and really on vacations! I will forward your comments to Freddy, Ebi, the crew from the Archipel and my office in Peru! Best Wishes Sofia

I particularly wanted to go to the Galapagos Islands and my 2 travel partners were happy with the choice. I stumbled upon Evaneos while I was researching back in January and I really liked your website, and the option to customize a bit. Everything went seamlessly on our 2 week adventure, and we truly loved the variety of accommodations, even and especially having a couple of nights with our own rooms, as opposed to 3 beds, one room. Pretty awesome and much appreciated! We were amazed that there was ALWAYS someone to meet & greet us in both Ecuador and our specific island destinations. There was one time change, and a couple of driver name changes from the voucher package we received, but we have absolutely no complaints and only kudos to *** for making this an outstanding holiday for 3 - 70+ year old women. Totally memorable!
The best parts:
I loved that we could customize the itinerary to suit our specific needs (3 senior women travelling together) without compromising the quality and important aspects of the trip. We were surprised that the 7 days touring mainland Ecuador was just as fascinating as the 5 days on Galapagos Islands. We can't help but attribute this to our amazing guide, Fausto , who not only knew the itinerary destinations inside out, but also seemed to know everything about the history, culture, geology and highlights of his country. He was passionate about it and that is an exceptional quality in a guide.
The worst parts:
Nothing to say here. It was all good! Perhaps getting on and off water crafts was a bit challenging, but that was our problem, not yours. We wished we could have seen the huge colorful land iguanas, but had we done our research, we would know they were not on our particular agenda. Everything else showed up in living color!

We gave you 2 weeks notice to plan the trip and you absolutely planned the trip of our lives. We had an AMAZING time and cannot wait to go back. We have shared pictures with our friends/family and they are so jealous. Will 1000% recommend Evaneos, (Delphine especially) for everyone. For Delphine, she absolutely planned an amazing trip. As we said, we gave her about 2 weeks to plan our trip and she responded to us in 1 day with an amazing itinerary. Every single time we had a question, she responded instantly. The trip was executed flawlessly and she was able to meet us in Quito before we left to make sure that everything was great. She was awesome.
The best parts:
TOURS: Santa Cruz HIghlands - really cool first experience on the island. Our tour guide was awesome and we really enjoyed the quiet/personal nature of it as we were tired from travelling. The tortoises were awesome to see at the Manzanillo ranch and the ranch/restaurant was really cool with great food. We then drove into town and went to the Darwin center and spent about an hour/hour and a half there. We liked it but did not love it. I think that an hour and a half is enough time because this is one of the must see attractions at the place.100% would recommend again North Seymour - This, along with Bartolome were our favorite tours. Being completely honest,I have never once in my life even remotely enjoyed bird watching and I absolutely LOVED this. So cool to see such massive birds up close and to learn about the mating/life of these birds. Also got to see our first sea lions up close. 100% would recommend again. Before Seymour, we also went to Las Bachas beach for a short walk (saw flamingos, marine iguanas, crabs, and some birds) and some snorkelling. Again, enjoyed this but Seymour was definitely the highlight for us. Bartolome - we really enjoyed this tour. To start the hike off, we saw 3 penguins swimming in the bay. The views at the top were absolutely stunning and the hike was not too difficult. The snorkelling afterwards was one of our favorite snorkelling spots to go. Really cool and got to see a white tip reef shark. Kicker Rock - Probably our most fun tour because of the group/tour guides. Really really exception tour guides that made all of the difference. The trip started with us spotting two Whales at the beginning of the journey on the way out. Then we made it to the first stop about an hour later, witch hill (not sure of the spanish word). Really cool sandy beach and stunning views. We even saw a ray in the water from the beach. We then went to Kicker rock and did two separate snorkelling sessions. We absolutely loved it. Hard to see at times due to cloud cover but saw tons of turtles and 3 sharks (no hammerheads unfortunately). Kicker rock/Leon Dormido was beautiful and would definitely recommend again. All tours - all of the tour guides were very professional and created a great experience. The food was excellent and the rides were not too bumpy. We felt prepared for everything that we had to do. With that being said, want to call out the crew from wreck bay on the kicker rock tour. As said above, the content of the trip itself was maybe not our favorite on its own, but the crew absolutely made this tour one to remember. Very funny and made a huge effort to connect everyone together into having a really good time. It was much appreciated from everyone on the tour CITIES Let me start by saying that we loved both towns that we stayed in on the islands. However, will say that we preferred staying in Santa Cruz, but think a lot of this had to do with proximity to the downtown area. Santa Cruz – amazing food, great shopping, really cool vibe San Cristobal – great food and awesome free day activities to do on our own ACCOMODATIONs: Casa De Judy – Awesome place. Room was adequate but the staff was great and accomodating, the breakfast was great, wifi was great, and a really good location. Arena Blanca – Good place. Room was big and nice, staff was friendly but not as helpful with things to do, routine tasks. Wifi was not very good and the location was very far from downtown which I think limited some of what we did. Fantastic breakfast Would definitely recommend Casa De Judy again but Arena Blanca, maybe not if closer options are available. MISCELLANEOUS: Ease of Travel – I have travelled a lot, so I know what a pain some of the routine tasks can be (i.e drivers, people helping us with the airport, telling us what to expect). There was literally not one stressful moment on this trip and that is because of you Friendliness – this extends to quito too, but we never once felt unsafe and every single person we interacted with was so friendly and awesome to talk to. Free Days – we went to LA Loberia (Twice) and Tijeretas. AMAZING time. Got to play in the water at both places with baby sea lions and saw an unbelievable amount of sea turtles. We liked Loberia so much that we went back the day that we flew out first thing in the morning. Drivers- very professional. Mostly on time (Once or twice about 20 mins late but no issues). They always got us on time and handled every single question we had. Equipment – across the board, top of the line equipment (masks, snorkels, wetsuits, boats)
The worst parts:
Tours – We loved the tours. But will give you some of the things that we noticed. SANTA CRUZ HIGHLANDS – early start to the day meant we were tired, so think this one maybe was just a little too long (but we really did like it, just tired). Our first tour was just us and it was best to be that way. The next two days were with the Galapagos Shark. The tour guide was very good and was genuinely excited. The last tour, as said above, was phenomenal because of the entire crew/tour guides. So not sure how to say this, but having a really phenomenal tour guide made the difference. By no means a worst part, but just food for thought. Arena Blanca – good place, just really far. Boat Travel from Santa Cruz to San Cristobal – this one you warned us about but half the boat got sick. Nothing different I think you could do however.

We loved the snorkeling and hiking trip to Plaza Sur Island. We also really enjoyed the trip to see the giant tortoises in the highlands. We had a lot of fun swimming and snorkeling on Isabela during our day off.
The best parts:
We loved the Galapagos Islands. The wildlife was amazing and the activities were lots of fun.
The worst parts:
We did not really like the hotel on Isabela, ***. The hotel was under construction, we had no view from our rooms, and the staff was not very interested or attentive.

Ecuador is a beautiful country with much to see and do. There is such diversity in each area and each experience is worthwhile,
The best parts:
We enjoyed going directly to the most important parts to see. Having a private guide made this possible
The worst parts:

I search in the internet about having such a trip, I found that Evanoes offer me the best suggestion , through few back and force emails with Emilie we finally concludes the best trip we wanted. we enjoyed the sail on the Galaxy Catamaran, the Crew were very friendly and supporting, the other participant were from the Switzerland very friendly, The food was of a Chef' grade very good and tasty. and of course the nature of the Galapagos was astonished. as for the second part- all was more of the same- we had a very nice personal Guide Freddy, who didn't save time and made extreme efforts to satisfy us. the places that were chosen for our trip were perfect for showing us the best of the places during our short visit.
The best parts:
I liked very much, from the very beginning the personal assistance of my agent Emillie. The trip was planned to be of two parts, the first one was the Cruise to the Galapagos and the second one a personal trip to the Ecuadorian Amazon's. Jungles nag Volcanoes. As such all was very much organized to the last details.
The worst parts:
In fact nothing was worse, maybe we should have been warned about taking some preventing pills for the high altitudes.

It was pretty spectacular. The way I was looked after I felt like royalty. All of the guides were more than knowledgeable. Ecuador was stunning from day one. The rainforest was a truly unique experience. The Galápagos was definitely the highlight of the trip. The only regret I have is not being able to stay longer. I’m definitely coming back and I will be using Evaneos again!
The best parts:
Most of it was completely fantastic. All of the guides were excellent. The service in the hotels was lovely. The first hotel was on a different league to the others though. How everything had been planned precisely and the personal service from one place to the next was also excellent. Emelie has been amazing from start to finish. I couldn’t be happier.
The worst parts:
If I had known I could have caught a plane part way to the rainforest I would have paid extra and done that instead. Unfortunately the day I spent waiting for the bus it was raining so much so I realised my water proof jacket was not 100% water proof. Although I think I probably only notIced that as every other part of the trip was jam packed with things to do. Also the fact it was a Sunday so the shops were closed.

Our favorite parts of the trip was the quality of the guides and those responsible for getting us to where we needed to be. Everyone from the woman who picked us up in the truck to the information guides. In particular our hero was Diego on the boat where we snorkeled in Santa Cruz. He was not only knowledgeable but he dove down to the bottom of the water when my granddaughter lost her Go Pro camera! She was hysterical and he swam over and dove way down and found it!!!! He was her hero and ours!! We are very appreciative!! In Quito, another guide, Diego was terrific. He related so well with our granddaughter and gave us so much information throughout the whole day! He made the city fabulous for us. In addition, I must compliment the L*** P*** Hotel. Their service and attention was great. Bravo to all those especially Vicky Espinosa, who helped find and send my granddaughter's special stuffed animal to her as we left it there the morning we left! The hotels were ok, unfortunately the power went out the morning we left the A***** in Isabella so that was a bit difficult. I do not think Tom, the owner (or manager )was particularly friendly. Whenever I asked for towels he knew we were three of us and begrudgingly spared two towels. It seemed like an imposition for him. Otherwise S**** and A***** were clean and locations were very good. The accommodations for three in one room were excellent. Emelie was great in the planning of our limited time in the Galapagos and I would recommend her to my friends to plan their trips going forward. Sometimes on the Internet you are not so lucky, but we were!
The best parts:
We enjoyed the different animals we saw as well as the two different island's topography. Unique. Always surprises from an animal stepping under your feet or a turtle swimming beneath you.
The worst parts:
Disliked all the boat types but in particular the speedboats. I guess, there was no choice though.

We visited San Cristobal and Santa Cruz. Both were amazing and we had a wonderful time.
The best parts:
The excursions and guides were fantastic! Very knowledgeable and personable.
The worst parts:
I would have liked to see pictures of the exact rooms that we were booked. Within each hotel there was a range of rooms and if I had known what a standard accommodation was, I likely would have upgraded. But this was a minor point and did not at all affect the trip!

In my mind, I had an idea of what my trip to the Ecuador would be like (from books and videos), but Emelie, my fantastic agent, your whole Amazing Team made my trip magical! How did all of you make my trip seem effortless? I felt like my wellbeing, enjoyment, and the quality of my time spent there, for the entire trip, was your sole responsibility! Thank you for picking the most incredible transportation services: taxis, boats, and air planes! A special thanks to driver Carlos B. with son Erick in Quito. Erick has exceptional Customer Service skills. The personal interaction that the family possesses can’t be learned, that is a gift that few people have, and I felt very welcomed in Ecuador by the Benavides’s. The hotels chosen for me were very comfortable. I enjoyed my interactions with all hotel staff, especially Vanessa at the Wooden House on Isabela. I have never seen someone take on the responsibility of getting her guests what they needed! As she seen me waiting to be picked up for my excursion, she jumped into action to call them to give me a better timeline for their arrival. She also went out of her way to make sure that my last day on Isabela was ideal. I let her know that I wanted to see the Wall of Tears, so she called a Taxi, translated in Spanish to take me to rent a bike, drop me off at the furthest trail point, pick me up at a designated time, and take me back to the hotel, so I don’t miss my flight that afternoon. It couldn’t have been any better! The Expert Guides: Flavio Sanchez, who stepped in for another guide, and provided an excellent introduction to Santa Cruz Island, and who went beyond the call of a tour guide by making sure I was properly fitted and ready for a SCUBA trip I was scheduled for the next day. That being stated, thank you for choosing the best SCUBA facilities and staff: SCUBA Iguana, Santa Cruz and Wreck Bay Diving Center, San Cristobal. What an amazing experience! Every day was a highlight and I know visitors are not guaranteed to see any wildlife, but when I was able to see the Pacific Seahorse, White/Black Tip sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Penguins, Finches, Flamingos, Frigates, Blue Footed Boobies, Golden & Spotted Rays, Marine Iguanas, Sea Lions, Sea turtles, and yes, all the Galapagos Tortoises, and much more, in their natural habitat, I didn’t want to leave the Islands! I have much gratitude to the Whole Team! I will be using your outstanding company for future trips and have already forwarded your service information to people I know.

I was very happy with the trip. Mainland Ecuador was wonderful. I visited Quito, Riobamba, Cuenta and a little Guayaquil with in between the avenues of the volcanoes, the equator, the cajas biosphere . In Galapagos , birds and birds, iguanas and sea lions, without forgetting the tortoises (exceptional) and the lava tunnels
The best parts:
A very well designed trip and an exceptional tour guide (Fausto) for the mainland .
The worst parts:
There was nothing I disliked about the trip. After Fausto, the Galapagos tour guide which was assigned to me for the first day was not as pleasant although he was very knowledgeable and we saw everything we had planned. I must say that I preferred the rest of Ecuador and Galapagos to Quito.
