Visit of Kigali city during the whole day (Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site, Presidential House, Kimironko Market) as well as Nyamata and Ntarama Memorial Sites, with, depending on the program, lunch at Bugesera lodge. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 3: In the country of 1000 hills

Driving toward Lake Kivu, we will have the opportunity to know Rwanda in deep. The countryside is a patchwork of green. From the bluish green of the eucalyptus trees planted on the hilltops to the dark green of the cypresses lining the narrow tracks, to the soft green of the rice fields in the valleys. A good road crosses the country at an average altitude of 1,500 m. A temperate climate explains the extraordinary diversity of farming: coffee, sorghum, tobacco, potatoes, and bananas cultures are near the fields of beans, potatoes, corn, creating a palette of very varied hues.

Arrival at the edge of Lake Kivu which, at an altitude of 1.460 m, is beautiful by the beauty of its banks and the lush vegetation that surrounds it. Discovery by boat of the bay and its surroundings. Dinner and overnight at the lake.

Day 4: Kivu Lake - Virunga volcanoes - Bwindi forest

A good road surrounded by an exuberant vegetation of plantain and coffee fields, along the lake, goes up at times to more than 2,000 m and offers us grandiose views of the hundreds of islands that stand out in the shimmering surface. Stops in lively and colorful villages. Extensive tea plantations ripple through the hills to the edge of the Virunga range, which we skirt to the north to reach Cyanika the border post. Passage to Uganda and drive about 1½ hours to Bwindi Forest. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla - Lake Bunyoni

As the first light of dawn breaks through the curtain of mist clinging to the summits of the mountains range, we make our way into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. With the help of a guide and trackers, we go in search of mountain gorillas. Vegetarians, loving rain forests, families of 8 to 20 individuals include a dominant male, adult females and several teenagers. The male with silver back can reach a weight of 250 kg and a height of 1.70 m. Debonair and peaceful, the anthropoids observe us while feeding on diverse plants. Intense moment, unique moment.

Return to the lodge then road along terraced hills steeply descending into the nearby Bunyonyi Lake.

Day 6: Lake Bunyoni - Kibale forest

After a few morning hours enjoying the beauty of the surroundings, departure via the city of Kabale, a big busy shopping center; the road winds through the Kigezi country and often offers beautiful breakaways on a landscape with the incredible palette of greens, the bluish green eucalyptus that separates countless plots, dark green cypresses lining the slopes, soft green paddy fields at the bottom of the valleys.

Farther on, the rounded hills with short grass are crossed by the remarkable herds of Banyaankole pastoralists, the valleys are the seat of bushy plantations where banana and coffee trees mingle.

Arrival at the edge of Kibale Forest in the early afternoon and check in at the reception of your tented camp in the shade large trees.

Day 7: Kibale Chimpanzee trek - Road to Entebbe

In the morning, walk for about 4 hours with a guide and trackers in the rainforest of Kibale, lined with swamps and meadows. It is the home of a large variety of primates (more than 12 listed species) including chimpanzees. This is one of the best places to approach these animals.

In the afternoon, on a good asphalt road, spend some 3h in a varied landscape of the foothills of the Ruwenzori of which we can, with a little luck, admire the eternal snow, huge tea plantations, an area of ​​high plateaus dug valleys concealed at the bottom of which the rivers are transformed into marshes. Several important villages line the road and serve as places of exchange for peasants often bringing their harvest on the backs of men. Agricultural and pastoral activities. Arrival on the outskirts of the Ugandan capital then at the city of Entebbe built on the edge of the huge Lake Victoria. Dinner on the lake shore and overnight.

Day 8: Entebbe - Serengeti park

Visit Entebbe, then transfer to the airport for a direct Auric air charter flight Entebbe - Serengeti 11h55 - 13h55. Welcome by our Tanzanian team and do a safari towards your camp. Game drive in the evening.

Day 9: Serengeti park

Spend the day on safari in the vastness of the Serengeti to rub shoulders with the most intense animal life that one can imagine. Here the herds are imposing and the felines numerous. Zebras and wildebeest mingle during the migrations, antelopes abound in the plains. Elephants, buffaloes and giraffes take refuge in the shrubby spaces along the rivers. In the bed of the Grumeti and Orange rivers, we observe crocodiles and hippopotamuses. The winged population is exceptionally dense and varied (eagles, marabouts, ibis, geese, storks, hornbills, ostriches, bustards ...).

Day 10: Ballooning in the Serengeti - Olduvai - Ngorongoro

A balloon ride is always a magical moment, but the experience will be even more beautiful in the Serengeti! You will leave early in the morning before sunrise to the meeting place and then embark in small groups with a team of English speaking professionals to fly into the sky Serengeti. From above, the savannah is so different, the plains are endless, the elephants seem so small and the migration even more incredible. After 1 hour in heaven, it will be time to return to earth. The icing on the cake, a breakfast will await you at the feet of the basket.

Safari through the great central plain towards the Olduvai Gorge, one of the hotspots of human paleontology. After visiting the very interesting museum, the winding track climbs the slopes of one of the mythical volcanoes of East Africa, Ngorongoro.

Day 11: Ngorongoro

The "Ngorongoro Conservation Area" is a reserve of more than 8.000 km2 that embraces several volcanoes and plains in east of the Serengeti. Here, Masais are allowed to live in symbiosis with nature. The Ngorongoro crater, a perfect caldera of 20 km in diameter, has been classified as world heritage by UNESCO. On this reduced surface, 600 m deep, there is a concentration of unique animal species on the Earth. We will spend a whole day there. Dinner and overnight at Camp.

Day 12: Ngorongoro - Zanzibar

Exit the reserve, crossing Karatu, stop at the edge of a ravine that allows an exceptional view of Lake Manyara. Direct flight on Zanzibar scheduled with Coastal Aviation 11:25 - 14:20. Welcome by our English speaking representative, transfer to your hotel. Visit of Stone Town.
