Loved all of our destinations. In Buenos Aires we really enjoyed intimate and amazing Fogon experience and the visit to the ranch for barbecue and gaucho demonstrations. We even got to go for a horseback ride.
Our next stop was in Colonia and we were met by a friendly and very knowledgeable guide named Ali who made our day perfect in every way.
Then we were off to Montevideo. Enjoyed shopping in the market and a wonderful trip to winery, Vina Eden, gourmet lunch and wine tour. Long drive but Spectacular afternoon enjoying view and food with wine pairings.
Punta del Esta was relaxing time at the beach and the wonderful hosts at hotel B*** E*** made us feel right at home.
The best parts:
Tours and activities selected by Lucas were great. We loved Colonia and our guide (Ali) was exceptional. We really enjoyed Fogon experience in Buenos Aires and made new friends we hope to see in the future. Our accommodations were great and just as we requested. They were all clean, well located, and staffs were friendly and helpful without exception.
The worst parts:
We found the transfer from Punta del Esta to Buenos Aires very stressful and poorly timed. We had to check out of hotel at 11:00 then wait around until 3:30 pm for transfer to bus station. Four hours too long. Bus left for Montevideo and arrived only 35 minutes before ferry departure and we had to get through customs and immigration. It was rushed and we barely made the connection, then arrived in Buenos Aires very late after a long and tiring day of waiting around time. Would have been better to have earlier transfer to bus station and earlier ferry.

We always leave Ecuador when Carnviale is taking place. We want to see SA, and this year it was Uruguay, Iguwazu Falls, Buenos Aires. Uruguay was lovely, both Montevideo/Colonia were great, I could live in Colonia! Our tour in Colonia was Private very impressive when one on one!
The Falls are definitely a spectacular sight, however I think that the Argentinian side is much better with the 3 walking tours, Brazil better views but very little walking.
The best parts:
We liked the fact that all of our hotels, transfers, some air/boat transportation was taken care of as well as knowledgeable guides. All of the guides, drivers and staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating.
I unfortunately misplaced by cell phone after the ferry to Buenos Aires, I thought it was in the car, once we got to the hotel we called the Emergency Number (it was a holiday) someone answered contacted the driver and it was lying on the floor. Thank heavens, the driver returned 4 hours later with it, and he got a nice tip! Thank you.
The worst parts:
Nothing to do with your company or trips/guides only airport related.
