Day 1: Welcome to Vietnam!

Day 2: Highlights of Hanoi & food tour

• Begin your adventure with a guided tour of the highlights of Hanoi

• Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his traditional stilt house and the One-Pillar Pagoda - built in the 11th century

• Continue to the Ethnology Museum, a research center featuring the 54 ethnic groups found across Vietnam

• Grab lunch at a local restaurant

• Next up, the Temple of Literature, followed by a meander through the Old Quarter and the Sword Lake

• Later, witness a traditional performance of Vietnamese Water Puppets

• In the evening, meet your guide once more for a food tour in Hanoi's Old Quarter

• Taste a variety of Vietnamese specialties, such as banh cuon (steamed rolled rice pancake), banh mi (typical sandwich) and Pho. Wash it all down with a bia hoi (freshly brewed beer). For dessert, you'll try the tastiest ice cream in Hanoi

Day 3: Bai Tu Long Bay

• Set off on a scenic drive to Halong Bay (3h30), a UNESCO World Heritage area and home to 1,900 islands and islets of rocky peaks

Meet the crew as you cruise towards the secluded islands of Bai Tu Long Bay

• A delicious seafood lunch will be served on board

• In the afternoon, explore the hidden Thien Canh Son cave, followed by swimming & kayaking at the white sand beach on Hon Co island

• After dinner, you will have the chance to try night fishing on the boat

Day 4: Journey to Hoi An

• Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the bay

• Visit Vung Vieng fishing village by a rustic row-boat

• Upon arrival, you’ll meet another local guide and be transfer to your hotel in Hoi An

Day 5: Hoi An discovery

Pick up a bicycle and ride into the Cam Thanh countryside and observe picturesque scenes of the local's daily life

• Board a boat and cruise to the seaport of Cua Dai. First, you will learn traditional net fishing techniques, while paddling around in a basket boat

• Then, visit a local family’s house to enjoy a lunch consisting of dishes carefully prepared by the fishermen

• Return to Hoi An for a walking tour of the Ancient Quarter. Visit the famous Japanese Bridge, the Chinese Temple and Tan Ky Trading House

• Spend the rest of the day at leisure

Day 6: Cook like a local

Visit a local market to meet local vendors and learn about the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson

Continue to Tra Que Village for a walk through organic herb gardens

• Once everything is ready, enjoy the delicious meal you've prepared

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City

• Transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City

• On arrival, you will be greeted and transfer to your hotel

• Once you're ready, meet your guide for a tour of Saigon

• Visit the old Post OfficeNotre Dame Cathedral, Dong Khoi Street, Chinatown, Binh Tay international market and Thien Hau pagoda

• Optionally, you can also go on a nightlife & food tasting by scooter tour (additional cost)

• The experience spans 4 districts of HCMC allowing you to try items like fried pine nuts, steamed clams and banh xeo (delicious Vietnamese pancakes) You will also pop into a live music joint and finish the night on an awesome rooftop with a dance floor

Day 8: The Mekong Delta by Boat & Bicycle

• Depart from Ho Chi Minh City to explore Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta

• First, visit a brick factory in Phong Nam

• Step onto a boat for a cruise along the Chet Say river

Visit a carpet weaving workshop, allowing you to understand better the specialties of the local economy

Hop in a xe loi (a motorized rickshaw) or on a bicycle and explore a small village

• Sit down for lunch at a small local restaurant

• Later, get back on the sampan for some leisure time along the narrow canals

Return to Ho Chi Minh City by car

Day 9: Flight to Laos

• Transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for your flight to Luang Prabang

Day 10: Kuang Sy Waterfalls & Luang Prabang tour

Day 11: Tak Bath Ceremony & flight to Siem Reap

• In the morning, head to the temple to marvel at the humbling Tak Bath ceremony

Day 12: Temples of Angkor
