Siuated by the Debed Gorge, at about 1,000m above the river, the town of Odzoun is famous for its 5th - 7th Century monastery.

My suggestion:
You should also visit the monasteries at Haghput and Sanahin whilst you're in the Debed Gorge region.
My review

The town of Odzun sits high on a plateau above the Debed Gorge, balanced on a vertiginous ravine that rises 1,000m above the river and Route No.6. With a population of 6,000, Odzoun is a traditional, picturesque town, famous for a magnificent monastery that was built between the 5th and 7th Centuries.

This lavish, stone-built monastery boasts incredible arched arcades that run along its sides. You'll also find a funerary monument by the church that's said to promote fertility! I spent the night at Odzoun so that I could explore the region and I have to say I really appreciated the peace and quiet; I highly recommend a trip to Odzoun to travellers touring this part of Armenia.
