Reviews of Victoria River

One of the biggest permanent rivers in the Northern Territories, the River Victoria offers beautiful landscapes of wild nature.

My suggestion:
As for the rest of the Northern Territories, avoid going there in summer. This season prevents you from enjoying the main tourist activities due to heavy rain and the heat.
My review

Right in the north of the Northern Territories the River Victoria flows over around 500 km. It is one of the few rivers to be permanent, that doesn't run dry during dry season. Along the length of its route, it offers beautiful landscapes weaving through canyons and other tropical forests.

For whoever visits the Northern Territories during their Australian journey, I would recommend to rather visit the national parks like Kakadu, Litchfield National Park or even Nitmiluk National Park which are in my opinion more impressive and worth more of a trip.

Like everywhere else in this region, make sure you are well informed before going for a dip in the River Victoria, crocodiles are very present in the surroundings and pose a real danger.
