The Huron Wendat museum, close to the centre of Wendake, is an institution of the Wendat people which has been built inside a hotel constructed according to Amerindian architectural norms.

My suggestion:
If there is a museum a bit out of the ordinary in Quebec, it's the Huron Wendat Museum, which tells the story of the Huron people over the last 10,000 years. Go and see the Huron Wendat longhouse and learn about Amerindian myths and legends.
My review

The museum is in an annex of the hotel that is bigger than the hotel itself. It's architecture is inspired by longhouses and modern tipis. As well as the permanent and temporary exhibitions, you can find out about the spiritual life of the Wendat. Each time I take a group, the tourists have lots of questions about their beliefs. Nowadays, we realise that Colombus, Cabot, Cartier and Champlain completely ignored societies whose art, culture, matriarchal structure and depth of spirituality went unrecognised.

Winter visitors can go snowshoeing in the path of caribou, which is fun, even if there is no guarantee you will meet any, and in fact it is very unlikely. After the places of remembrance, make the most of the open spaces which are quite out of the ordinary.

An artist's impression of an Amerindian community in the past.
