We arrived in Gaspé for the Festival Musique du Bout du Monde, the music festival at the end of the world, in glorious weather. The main street, the Rue de la Reine, is closed to vehicles for the festival. We came across tightrope walkers, street artists, musicians, and slacklining workshops for children and adults, all in a fun and festive atmosphere.
I have very fond memories of time spent in Gaspé as we also saw some people who we'd previously met at the start of our Canadian road trip. The Lemon Bucket Orchestra, whom we had discovered during the previous stag of our trip, near Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, provided another opportunity for us to dance in the street. We also tried the delicious food at the Brûlerie du Café des Artistes, a restaurant that I strongly recommend.
Gaspé was the only town on the peninsula where we went to the beach, and the fine, sandy beach is the ideal location to spend some time beside the seaside.
