Reviews of Luzhi

With a wealth of history that spans 2,000 years, Luzhi is a waterside village as well as a haven of green that is criss-crossed by a multitude of rivers and canals.

My suggestion:
Don't miss: Baosheng Temple, with sculptures that date from the sixth-century and its thousand-year-old gingko tree.
My review

Its little stone bridges have earned it the title of the "capital of bridges" of China. Built over the course of the Song, Tang, Ming and Qing Dynasties, today there are no fewer than 41 of them.

In the market town, women still wear the traditional folk costume, which are relics of a glorious past. The architecture of the village is very distinctive, with cobbled streets and traditional houses from the Ming and Qing periods. With black roofs with raised edging, their red lanterns, pretty brick façades and wooden fronts all lend Luzhi its charm.
