Prague, as beautiful as it is mysterious

Discover Prague, a capital city that is as beautiful as it is mysterious!

Romantic Prague

Perhaps you have categorisedyour trip to the Czech Republicas a romantic trip, a trip for sharing, or more simply, of love? If this is the case, there is no doubt that Prague is the ideal destination for you!

In fact, Prague, nicknamed "The city of a thousand spires" could almost compete with Paris for the title of "the most romantic city in the world". It is wonderful to walk hand-in-hand in the narrow streets of Malá Strana ("Little Quarter" in Czech), a wonderful baroque district, watching the carriages go by and from time to time entering one of the countless churches.

The Charles Bridge (Karlův most), which spans the Moldava River to connect Malá Strana with Staré Město (old Prague) is another of the locations that you must absolutely visit during your stay. Although terribly crowded by the tourists who invade the Czech capital, it is an architectural delight dating from the fourteenth century, with its beautiful statues and streetlights that light up at nightfall to create a beautifully romantic decor.

The Charles Bridge and the old city

You will also experience the beauty and mystery of Prague in the maze of the old town, between the small squares, canals and old cafes where you can sit down and relax after a long day of walking: it's a ritual that you must not miss out on!

An ever-present history

During your trip through the Czech Republic, you will have noticed that History (with a capital H) is present everywhere, from the most ancient times to the contemporary period. Prague is no exception to this rule.

Its many picturesque neighbourhoods will give you a fairly precise idea of the evolution of the city through the ages. Vyå¡ehrad, the first castle of Prague, is another visit that you should not miss, in addition to the above-mentioned neighbourhoods of Malá Strana and Stare Město. The first shows what the city was like at the time of Charles IV while the second is an absolute must.

Indeed, Old Prague is where some of the most emblematic buildings and constructions are to be found, including the sublime Astronomical Clock (which attracts crowds!), the Staroměstské náměstí (the old square), its baroque and neo-baroque palaces, as well as the exceptional cubist "House of the Black Madonna". A visit to the Jewish quarter is another poignant moment, with its old cemetery and tombstones worn away by time...

Prague, this beautiful and mysterious capital, reveals itself little by little and will make you yearn to come back again and again!
