Located between Manali and Leh in the Lahaul region, the village of Darcha is best known as a starting point for treks.

My suggestion:
If you’re in good physical condition and accompanied by a good guide, don’t miss the trek from Darcha to Leh or Zanskar. Magical
My review

For most travelers during a trip to India, a stopover in Darcha is synonymous with a trek to the northern Himalayas. Departing from Darcha, you can either go to Leh in Ladakh or further west to Padum in Zanskar. In the second case, the landscapes you cross are absolutely gorgeous.

The trek I went on had brought me to Leh, after 10 days of walking and mountain passes that were more than 5000 meters in altitude! If you aren't used to high altitudes, take the time to get acclimated before going up so high.

A new road is being built from Darcha to Padum, the capital of Zanskar. So it may be possible to go there in the summer on this road in the coming years.
