Kintamani refers to both a region in the northeast of Bali and the village in this region where Mount Batur volcano is located.
My suggestion:
Go down to the banks of Batur Lake, the walk is really nice and the view of the surroundings and Mount Batur is magnificent.
My review
To me the Kintamani region is one of the most beautiful places in Bali. The landscape is marked by jagged hills dominated by Mount Batur, a volcano that is still active today. At the foot of the volcano stretches Batur Lake; for a good view of the region, go to Penelokan village south of the lake, the panorama is incredible and holds the promise of lovely photos . For hiking fans , a guide association proposes to accompany you up the volcano to admire the rising sun.
Kintamani also houses one of the most important temples in Bali, the Pura Ulun Danau Batur, erected in honour of the goddess of the lakes and rivers, Dewi Danu. Previously destroyed by an eruption and then rebuilt higher up, it is the object of great devotion.

I recommend you get as close as you can to this volcano, either by climbing it or biking around the caldera.
My review
I love this place! Kintamani boasts a magnificent, volcanic landscape. If you head out of the village, you'll find amazing views of the volcano and the lake. You'll also see orange groves.
Here, you'll be plunged into local daily life - farmers working their fields and kids dressed in national colours heading home from school. This is the real Bali!
If you want to climb the volcano, you'll be pleased to know you don't need to be super fit! If you go at your own pace you should reach the summit in 2 to 3 hours. It's best to go with a guide (better safe than sorry!) and, as with most volcanos, I suggest you start out early enough to watch the sun rise from the summit! Good idea to be accompanied...
