Family beach on the northern part of the island of Rodrigues.

My suggestion:
Grand-Baie Beach is a delight for children when the tide is out. If you are visiting the island of Rodrigues on a family holiday, be sure to pay a visit to this beach.
My review

Grand-Baie is a friendly, sociable little beach spot and a nice place to set your towel down and spend time on the sand as a family. When the sea is out, it's a wonderful playground for children, who simply adore searching for seashells to use to make pretty holiday souvenirs. The beach at Grand-Baie is very quiet and peaceful during the week. Once the weekend arrives, however, the village very quickly becomes a lively, animated place, with more people to be seen in the area around the local football ground.

Furthermore, and with many visitors to Rodrigues tending to travel around on foot, Grand-Baie serves as the start point for a walk that takes you to Baladirou Beach. It took me around 45 minutes to get there, but the walk is definitely worth doing.
