Reviews of Parc de Crocodiles

A zoo where the reptiles suffer in the intense heat.

My suggestion:
There are other places you can go to see the tortoises of the Seychelles. Do not participate in the mistreatment of animals.
My review

The somewhat misleadingly named Crocodile and Giant Tortoises Park is mainly a place to see the tortoises that are endemic to the Seychelles. These imposing reptiles are the real stars of what is actually a zoo by any other name.

Personally, I found the place heartbreaking. There is nothing enjoyable about seeing overcrowded crocodiles floundering in tepid muck and mire in high tropical temperatures and surrounded by clouds of mosquitoes. It's even worse seeing giant tortoises used as a kind of shoddy attraction for children to enjoy feeding.

Out of respect for the animals here. i.e. the tortoises and crocodiles, but also the iguanas, monkeys and various other creatures too, I would suggest giving the Crocodile and Giant Tortoise Park a miss when visiting Mauritius.
