At 1,800m high, Jhinu Danda is a little village and stopover along the route that leads to the Annapurna base camp.

My suggestion:
You'll find thermal springs on the outskirts of Jhinu Danda. Taking a long, good soak after a day's hiking is just the best...I can't recommend it highly enough!
My review

Nestled among rice terraces that sculpt the landscape, Jhinu Danda is a great stopover for the night, before continuing on to the Annapurna base camp. After crossing the Modi Khola River via the New Bridge suspension bridge, the trail heads uphill towards Jhinu Danda and across cultivated fields, where water buffalo quietly graze whilst watching the world go by.

Once you've arrived, you'll face a dilemma - should you take a dip in the thermal springs on the lower outskirts of the village or settle down to a hot cup of chai and enjoy the view? I went for the former and have no regrets, apart from having to walk back up the hill to Jhinu Danda...In any case, lazing in hot springs on the foothills of the Annapurnas is one of the most incredible experiences on offer during a holiday in Nepal and one that you won't quickly forget!

*After the devastating earthquakes that shook Nepal in April and May 2015 the country is slowly getting back on its feet. This article was written before these catastrophic events occurred.
