In the heart of the Annapurnas, a marvellous view point.

My suggestion:
Cover up well because it is very windy.
My review

Khopra Danda is at an altitude of 3,700 metres and has a spectacular view. The climb from Ghorepani had seemed long and difficult but it was worth the trouble. The place is a bit off the beaten track and not very touristy, so I felt completely alone and disconnected from the world.

The second day I tried to go as far as the lake but after 2 hours walking I was so cold that I had to turn round, which greatly amused the Nepalese who were only wearing T-shirts. Nevertheless, the walk along the foothills of Annapurna was very nice.

I loved having nothing to do but admire how immense it is. Evenings spent talking by the fire had taught me a lot about Nepal and living in the mountains.

The sun set is one of my favourite memories of my trip to Nepal.
