I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this city which is steeped in spirituality and which boasts stunning architecture rooted in simplicity and modesty.
I also really enjoyed walking along the river. Many small churches lie on the outer side of the city so don't hesistate to cross the river and discover them! I must say that the Kremlin is a very interesting place to visit. Among the masterpieces not to be missed include parts of a mural of Theophanes the Greek, which dates from the XIV century. It's the only mural of the master that you'll have the chance of seeing during your trip to Russia .
