Pushkin (a.k.a. Tsarskoye Selo) is a suburban town south of Saint Petersburg where you will find the famous Catherine Palace and its even more famous Amber Room.

My suggestion:
Take some hazelnuts and seeds in your pockets and take a walk in the palace park as well. If you hold out your hands with seeds on them, the birds will come down and sit on them. The squirrels will "attack" you when they see the hazelnuts.
My review

Pushkin is a pretty, tranquil suburban town which is easy to get to from the centre of St Petersburg by train, car or bus.

The Catherine Palace is worth a visit, but it's just another palace...and honestly you can have enough palaces, even if it is so sumptuous that it is one of the must-sees of a trip to Russia. The (famous) Amber Room is beautiful and interesting, although I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting something really extraordinary.

As I lived in SPB ( StPetersburg) for more than a year I was able to go to Pushkin several times. What I always liked there was the park where I could feed the squirrels on hazelnuts that I bought in the supermarket before going for my walk.
