Go to the beaches in the evening and you will find that each one has its own ambience when you meet the Carioacas.
The mythical Brazilian city whose very name is an invitation to drink a caipirinha to the accompaniment of a bossa nova.

Try out one of the many Baile Funk clubs in the city, dance yourself dizzy to the very energetic Carioca funk, and soak up the amazing atmosphere!
Rio de Janeiro is not the capital of Brazil, but its popularity will increase with the 2016 Olympic Games.

Avoid the carnival period and take a taxi, with a driver who speaks your language, to tour the city. You'll get much more out of it and you'll be safe.
An absolutely essential place to see when visiting Brazil. A crazy, pulsating city that has to be experienced at least once in a lifetime!

The subway network doesn't cover the whole city, but it does cover a large portion of the areas you will want to go to. It's very fast and reliable, making it perfect for getting around in the city.

Live to the rhythm of the Cariocas and explore the city with them. Climb Sugarloaf Mountain and plunge into the Tijuca Forest. As for the rest, put your trust in your local friends, the people you meet, or your local guide!
