Extending over nearly 1,200 miles from North to South and with hundreds of miles of coastline, Burma offers many stunning natural wonders... There is incredibly abundant nature, Inle Lake with its floating market and stilted houses, sublime beaches where turquoise waters bathe ivory coloured beaches... your trip holds many beautiful sites in store for you. However, what most marks travellers in Burma remains, without a doubt, the extraordinary culture of this country. Imagine several hundred temples and pagodas rising out of a mist shrouded plain like a mysterious cotton cloak. You are not dreaming, you are looking at the Plains of Bagan, where the first Burmese kingdom once stood. More than 3,000 pagodas and temples arise on these 40 sq. miles. Let us remain optimistic and hope the people will soon achieve the peace which they deserve. Because a trip to Burma is also an occasion for meeting the Burmese people, renowned for their extreme kindness and hunger for contacts with the outside world. See more

What to see and do in Myanmar

You are on the verge of realizing your dream: to discover Burma. Without a doubt you will stop over in the former capital, Rangoon, and there you will discover the Shwedagon Pagoda, situated halfway between the amusement parks and a pilgrimage site where Buddhist devotion is more present than ever. You will contemplate the Inle Lake, a natural jewel perched at 900 metres, during a ride in a boat...You should certainly not miss the Pindaya with its incredible caves containing 8,000 Buddhas. And you will perhaps complete this superb itinerary in Burma with a side trip to the Bay of Bengal. There you will taste all the delicacies from a corner of paradise crystalline lapping water, a fine-sand beach bordered by coconut palms, or bike rides along the seaside... You are looking for a family trip and are seeking for activities which will be of interest to your children. Or perhaps it is a honeymoon trip and you wish to add important details to suit your couple. Absolutely no problem: the local travel agency, selected by Evaneos Travel, is the guarantee of success for your trip. In a country only recently open to tourism, where a holiday is difficult to set up, your local agent in Burma will know exactly how to respond to all your needs and create the tailor-made trip that resembles you most!
