Dominical is a small town situated one hour away from Quepos on the Pacific coast. Here the atmosphere is sunny and relaxed.

My suggestion:
A peaceful and friendly place for those who want to surf, or to let themselves be taken in by its relaxed, positive energy. Dominical concentrates its activities around the beach.
My review

We spent three very pleasant days there. On the programme: lazing about, fresh fruit juice cocktails and freshly caught fish. For those who like surfing, fishing and diving, Dominical is an ideal place to stop off. It's not far from Marino Ballena National Park either.

Life in Dominical is mainly organised around nautical activities and the beach, where people practising yoga and surfing mix. A path with palm trees goes along the big beach with some bars beside the sea and a small market with local hand-made items which takes place there at the end of the day. The town stretches out along the coastline and on the main street, parallel to the beach, there are some good restaurants and shops. Music fills the street in the evening. You can get around there on foot or by bike, with a surfboard never too far away. Beach clothing is necessary.

Far from the mass of tourists, we appreciated these few days, savouring coconuts and admiring incredible sunsets. We wanted to stay there. You forget your watch and the time which passes, you live to the rhythm of the sun. It is pura vida.

A positively contagious atmosphere.
