An amazing biosphere reserve in Quintana Roo. If you're in the Yucatan, this is one for the itinerary during your trip to Mexico.
My suggestion:
If you're after a bit of peace and quiet, there are superb, reasonably priced houses for rent near Tulum and Punta Allen.
My review
Sian Ka'an is Mexico's largest biosphere reserve. Located on the shores of the Caribbean, you can imagine how stunning it is. It's so beautiful, it's almost unreal: large rainforests, lagunes, mangroves, wetlands, coral reefs, hidden Mayan ruins, sand banks...Not to mention the colours! Turquoise waters, brightly coloured, tropical plants and rare animal species with unusual markings. It's mind blowing!
