Reviews of Mpumalanga

Located on the road between Johannesburg and Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga is an area with breathtakingly beautiful landscapes and scenery to offer.

My suggestion:

Hiring your own vehicle will give you the freedom to tour the region at your own pace, which will make your visit all the more enjoyable than the quick two-hour stop you get on the way back from Kruger on one of the tour operator organised trips.

My review

Judging by the number of tourist buses to be seen at its main sites at busy times, it's obvious that Mpumalanga is now one of South Africa's major tourist attractions.

It's an essential place to visit for anyone who loves nature, hiking and exceptional landscapes and scenery. I advise you to choose one of the region's main towns/cities as your base. From there it will be easier to go on excursions to Mpumalanga's essential places to visit. You'll simply adore the wonderful hiking trails that run through the breathtaking landscapes of Blyde River Canyon. And as for the idyllic panoramas of the Bourke's Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavels, well what can I say? You really have to see them yourself. They are simply amazing!
