It's one of my favourite places on the Garden Route due to its wild look, even if it's really small and eventually almost in the seaside resort of Plettenberg Bay. Leave early to be able to do the 4 hour, 10 kilometre round trip, the most beautiful one, which goes past the lighthouse and the seal and sea lion colonies.
You can also see lots of dassies, rodents who are anything but shy and who come to beg for food (don't feed them). Robberg Peninsula is covered in fynbos, an ecosystem and type of vegetation unique to the Cape Town region, magnificent. The landscape is amazing and walking is very nice by the ocean. There are other 2 and 5 kilometre paths for those who don't have the time to explore the full site. In summer it's open until 9pm which is enjoyable.
