In the middle of nowhere, Aus is about halfway between the road that descends towards South Africa and Luderitz on the coast, an epic in the heart of the Namibian desert.

My suggestion:
Go and admire the wild horses at evening's end, when the sun is setting and they come to quench their thirst not far from town.
My review

I was fascinated by Aus's in the middle of nowhere desert side . Indeed, this little locality situated at the foot of the Tiras mountains used to be an army prison. It is simple to understand that it must not have been easy to escape from this place! Today, Aus is a peaceful little hamlet where you find some accommodation, including a lovely camping site.

For me, Aus is also a colour: the ochre that colours the mountain sides and the dusty ground of the surroundings. Set in the middle of all this are the famous wild horses, the attraction hereabouts. They generally come to drink at evening's end, when the heat is less felt, this is therefore the best time to catch a glimpse of them.

The following morning, I was ready for the continuation of my stay in the Namibian South : Luderitz!
